I am excited to announce to you the publishing wing of Don Kistler Ministries It is called "The Northampton Press".
There are thousands of other manuscripts worthy of publication, books that would edify the church and help to reach the lost.
I am committed to that kind of literature, in addition to my own preaching and teaching schedule. I hope to publish at least 6 books each year.
Our books are being underwritten by generous friends of the ministry. Perhaps you would consider underwriting the cost of a
book yourself! I am not in a position to do it alone; it will take the help and support of many such friends.

There are two deadly extremes Christians must avoid - legalism and antinomianism. Both are antithetical to the gospel.
One raises God's standards and the other lowers them. This book addresses the first of those deadly traps, that of legalism. It is a term
that is often thrown about, but is seldom defined.
In this helpful book, several noted preachers and theologians show what legalism is and how destructive it can be to
a right understanding of both justification and sanctification. Legalism is "a yoke that neither we nor our fathers could bear."
Fortunately, that "yoke" was borne by Christ at the cross, and He alone is able to bear it. He has "fulfilled all righteousness" for
us, and that is a reason for rejoicing.

The Sabbath is a Blessing to Mankind
Gardiner Spring was a famous Presbyterian preacher in New York City in the late 1800's. His best known works are
"The Distinguishing Traits of the Christian Character,"
published by The Northampton Press, and "The Power of the Pulpit," published by the Banner of Truth. This is a short treatise he wrote
on the benefits of keeping the Sabbath, and how it is beneficial to do so for believers and unbelievers alike.

The Natural Man's Condition

The height of hopelessness is to be without Christ. And the despair felt by such a person in this world
pales in comparison to what they will feel in the next one. In this scarce Puritan volume, never reprinted since the 17th century,
Christopher Love describes the misery of being without Christ and the benefits of being in Christ.
He distinguishes true hopes from false hopes, and gives evidences for knowing that one truly is in the covenant
of grace. This is painstaking heart surgery from a wise soul-physician, who wounds only to apply the healing balm of the gospel.

Let Us Pray

Let Us Pray Kindle Edition
When our Lord's disciples came to Him regarding prayer, they did not ask Him to teach them how
to pray, but rather they asked Him to teach them to pray. Obviously even those closest to Christ needed to learn to pray. And so do we.
Here, some of our best Bible teachers and expositors give us instruction on prayer, from why we should pray,
to what prayer is, how it ties in with God's sovereignty, what it means to pray in Jesus' name, what it means to hallow God's name,
and why God is to be the focus of our prayers, not ourselves. These, and many other topics, are addressed in this helpful book.

Preparing for Eternity
by Mike Gendron
OUR PRICE: $12 + shipping
Order Now!
Mike Gendron is a Dallas-based evangelist who was a devout Roman Catholic for 34 years.
God opened his eyes to biblical truth and he has spent his life since that time showing the disparities between
official Roman Catholic doctrine and the truth of God's Word. Here, over 26 chapters, the author examines the
issues of ultimate authority, the efficacy of Christ's sacrifice, the role of Mary, tradition versus Scripture,
the mass, purgatory, and several other key teachings. There is also a lengthy chapter where he answers questions and
comments that have come to him over the years.
If you have friends or relatives who are Roman Catholics, or who may be considering joining the Roman church,
this would be a good resource to help them examine themselves and the teachings of that church. Of this book John
MacArthur said: "Carefully and convincingly, this helpful book demonstrates that the 'gospel' taught in Roman Catholicism
is not the true gospel found in the Bible. I heartily recommend Mike Gendron's book."

Sighs From Hell
by John Bunyan
OUR PRICE: $15 + shipping
Order Now!
Read the first chapter
This book is especially timely in light of Rob Bell's recent book release called "Love Wins," in which he denies a literal hell,
other than the one we make for ourselves. But over 300 years ago John Bunyan wrote this little work in which he exposits the story in Luke 16 of Dives
and Lazarus, and shows biblically that hell is quite literal—at least Jesus thought so!
This book has been slightly updated as to language and grammar. It is hardbound and printed on acid-free paper. While this work
of Bunyan's is not as well known as "Pilgrim's Progress," it is very important, particularly for evangelism. This is what sinners need to be saved from!

The Precious Things of God
by Octavius Winslow
OUR PRICE: $20 + shipping
Order Now!
We are pleased to announce our newest offering from the Northampton Press, "The Precious Things of God" by Octavius Winslow (1808-1878).
Of this book John MacArthur said, "Octavius Winslow's The Precious Things of God is a profound study of twelve things Scripture calls 'precious.'
They happen to be twelve foundational aspects of Christian faith and experience. So this book is essentially a handbook for faithful Christian living.
Written in a simple, compelling, devotional style, it's a wonderful tool that will encourage young Christians and mature saints alike.
Very highly recommended." The retail price for this hardback book, printed on acid-free paper, and stitch-sewn, is $24.
But we are offering it for $20, plus $6 shipping.
Some of the things that God considers "precious" are Christ, faith, trails, Christ's blood, God's children, the Word of God, prayer, and several others.
This is a wonderful devotional manual on experiential Christianity. This book is the first modern edition of this title. It has been retypeset and slightly modernized.
The last edition published prior to this was a lithograph of a 19th century copy. This is a completely new edition.

THE CHRISTIAN ON THE MOUNT
by Thomas Watson

"The Puritans were thoroughly Reformed, consistent, and persistent in using 'the art of meditation' as an important spiritual discipline
and half-way house between the reading of Scripture and prayer. More than forty Puritans wrote books on the subject. Today we have reaped the fruits of not understanding
that a non-meditative, mindless Christianity soon produces a spineless Christianity. Thomas Watson's guide for meditation is one of the best and briefest on the subject.
If you wish to transform your spiritual disciplines for the better, read, re-read, and then put into practice this precious little book." --Dr. Joel R. Beeke,
Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary, Grand Rapids, Michigan |

"The Northampton Press is the most promising and yet experienced new publisher I know of.
Its commitment to orthodox Christian literature is much needed today.
Expect publications that take theology and Scripture seriously. I highly recommend this effort."
